Iran, Russia and Belarus win gold at the second International Vladivostok Regatta.
In Vladivostok on September 10, athletes from 8 countries competed in various men’s and women’s rowing disciplines.
Iranian sportsmen secured gold and silver in the men's 500 m single race. Rezvani Hamidreza took first place and Ghaderi Shirzad came second.
In the men's doubles, Nikita Morgunov and Dmitry Kuznetsov took first place, silver went to the sportsmen from Belarus Ivan Brynza and Philip Paukov.
In the women's singles, Victoria Vasilyeva (Belarus) took gold, Anastasia Tikhanova (Russia) took silver, and Aidana Smetullaeva (Uzbekistan) took bronze. The Russian team also won the women's doubles, with Elena Sorina and Yana Merenkova receiving gold. Silver went to the athletes from Uzbekistan Elena Solovyova and Basimokhon Sattorova. Yariulvis Cobas Garcia and Milena Venega Cancio from Cuba got bronze.
In the men's eights the team from Belarus came first. Rowers from Russia took second place, and rowers from Uzbekistan took third place.
Athletes from Russia, China, Serbia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Cuba and Belarus took part in the competition.
